Get ready to go GAGA!

We’re excited to announce the latest addition to Camp Mákemáke’s outdoor play area: a brand-new Gaga Ball pit! This fast-paced, energetic game is a favorite among kids around the world, and we can’t wait to bring it to life here at camp.

Gaga Ball is a fun, inclusive game that combines elements of dodgeball and tag, played inside a fenced pit. It’s easy to learn, highly social, and gets kids moving, laughing, and strategizing together. The objective is simple: hit opponents with a soft ball below the knees while dodging their throws. Players are “out” if the ball touches them above the knee or if they hit the ball out of bounds. The last player standing wins.

At Camp Mákemáke, Gaga Ball fits perfectly with our focus on active, creative play in nature. The game encourages quick thinking, agility, and friendly competition—plus, it’s a fantastic way for campers to make new friends and practice teamwork. Because it’s easy to join in and suitable for all ages and skill levels, Gaga Ball creates an inclusive space where every child can shine.

Our new pit is built with smooth wooden walls designed for safety and maximum fun. It’s the kind of addition that brings a new rhythm to camp days, with campers running, jumping, and cheering in a healthy, playful way.
